FREE DEVELOPER CONFERENCE - Houston TechFest

HoustonTechFest2008LogoFor2009

Heere ye, heere ye!  Houston TechFest is right around the corner!  You’ll remember that the original date was sometime back in August of last year, but had to be rescheduled because of Ike.  Now, Houston TechFest is back in full force and ready for you to sign up.  There are a TON of great speakers across 12 tracks of content including sessions on .NET as well as Java, Security, TDD, Methodology and more.  I think they’re even going to have an “Open Spaces” room in case the conversations need to continue outside the sessions!

I’m scheduled to deliver 2 sessions on WPF & Silverlight 2 development - one about data binding, and one about templating and styling – where I cover how WPF and Silverlight are similar, and how they’re different.  We’ll be using the latest and greatest bits from Redmond as well as taking questions from the attendees.  The other members of my team will also be delivering sessions on a variety of topics including Near-RealTime resource management, Robotics Studio, OWASP Security Threats, Virtual Worlds, and XNA Gaming Studio.

Last year there were almost 500 people in attendance at Houston TechFest, and this year they’re looking to break that record!  So make sure you tell all your friends, co-workers, neighbors, and anyone else you can think of about this great FREE event going on this weekend in Houston.

If you have any questions, please let me know, or visit their site at https://www.houstontechfest.com.
