preparing for techready 9

i will be spending the last week in july out in seattle at techready – a semi annual gathering of microsoft field engineers.  last year at techready 7 i saw ray ozzie speak for the first time.  some of the highlights are contained in a wired article – with the transition of bill gates at the end of june, heaing from ray ozzie and about a lot of the things we have since announced (azure, windows 7, etc.) early on was one of the best parts of the content.  the other really important part of techready is the opportunity to network with others in the same role as well as the product group and other groups in redmond.  these have been very productive weeks and i’m looking forward to the next chapter starting monday, july 27th.
