Central Maryland Association of .net Professionals October Meeting

For those of you who haven't heard, the user group formerly known as Central Maryland ASP.NET Professionals (TUGFKACMAP) has recently changed its name to reflect a broader focus on all areas of .net. The new name is Central Maryland Association of .net Professionals. Their acronym, CMAP and website, http://www.cmap-online.org/, remain the same.

And from my friends at CMAP:

CMAP Main Meeting
October 4th
6:30 PM
UMBC Technology Center
1450 South Rolling Road
Halethorpe, MD 21227
Main Topic
Practical Data Layer Design
Presented by Sahil Malik
The CMAP winning streak continues. We are privileged to have a repeat appearance by another outstanding and popular Microsoft MVP. Sahil Malik has worked for a number of top-notch clients in Microsoft technologies ranging from DOS to .NET, and leads the Office of Emerging Technologies at the National Cancer Institute. He is the author of Pro ADO.NET 2.0 and co-author of Pro ADO.NET with VB.NET 1.1. Sahil, a polished and in demand speaker, is currently working on a multimedia series on ADO.NET 2.0 for Keystone Learning.
Of course, a real CMAP meeting has many installments. Our fourth chapter of CMAP?s ASP.NET 2.0 mini-series, presented by Jim Jackson, will be on Code Snippets and Refactoring. Do not forget to bring a newcomer and collect a free raffle ticket. We will have plenty of pizza and refreshments.
Your ongoing support enables the CMAP executive board to continue to improve the quality of programming we offer the community. Help us continue the positive trend by attending the next meeting and bringing your friend and/or colleague, and by sending your comments to suggestions@cmap-online.org. Directions to the UMBC Technology Center are below.
