Confirming today that we are on target to deliver an end user Beta to more than 2 Million customers in Q2, 2006. Our current schedule delivers Windows Vista in 2006 as planned

• Our industry partners who require greater lead time to deliver Windows Vista on new PC’s, have asked for a high degree of certainty around Holiday 2006. While we believe we could deliver in time, we want to optimize for the most predictable plan for our partners.

• So we have decided to prioritize around customer and partner satisfaction for broad availability of Windows Vista and

– Making available direct to our business customers in November via our Volume Licensing program

– Targeting broad consumer availability and new PC’s in January of 2007
