Silverlight for Symbian S60 Mobile Devices Released

Silverlight is truly a cross-platform technology – even on mobile devices!

Microsoft has announced a Beta version of Developer Tools and Silverlight runtime to enable users to run Silverlight applications on the Nokia S60 5th Edition platform.  S60 is a software platform for mobile phones that runs on Symbian OS and is currently one of the most-used mobile platforms in the world.

Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform implementation of the .NET Framework for building media experiences and rich interactive applications (RIAs) for the Web.

The Silverlight runtime for Nokia S60 5th Edition is hosted in the S60 default browser and supports all S60 5th edition devices such as Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia N97, and the Nokia N97 Mini.
