John Vlissides - gone but not forgotten

I just learned that John Vlissides passed away on Thanksgiving Day. John was one of the infamous "Gang of Four" that wrote the original classic on Design Patterns. I was lucky enough to meet him at a conference years ago - he was both brilliant and extremely personable (a rare combination in this industry).   

There is a memorial to John that you can use to express your thanks and memories.
