Fewer CS Majors?

Cnet recently ran the results of a study that indicated that fewer college freshmen are interested in majoring in computer science. The results are particularly notable among women. I'm not sure whether this is a normal cyclical shift, a response to offshoring, a widely-held view that CS is just not cool, or something else. I do know that the world still needs programmers. I also know that a lot of programmers have degrees in something other than CS.

It makes me wonder if there's a market for a CS special course targeted at liberal arts majors who are looking at a McJob after their senior year.
