Silverlight 2 is officially out the door (or RTW)
This is another milestone for our Silverlight story (and not the last). Yes, Silverlight is cool because it enables interesting cross-platform rich experiences on the web, but this release is big for developers. Consider that Silverlight 2 includes a cross-platform .NET framework, a set of interesting controls, enhancements for consuming a variety of service types, content protection, Deep Zoom, etc. And, these press releases claim that we are reaching 1 in 4 consumers worldwide before today’s release.
