“Windows Server 用 Hadoop” のプレビュー版が公開されました。そしてこれを機に、 Azure 版共々 ”HDInsight” を名乗ることになりました。

となれば、例によって Windows Azure VM で Windows Server 2012 の VM を 一台つくり、そこへインストールしてみたいと思います。なお前回、 Web PI をご紹介しましたが、この HDInsight for Windows Server も Web PI でインストール可能です。それはそれは楽ちんです。

Web PI をまずはダウンロード、インストールします。
https://www.microsoft.com/web/downloads/platform.aspx

Web PI を起動して、”hadoop” を検索してみてください。HDInsight が出てきます。これをインストールしてください。

しばらく時間がかかりますが、

これが表示されれば完了です。

さて、インストールはできました。

が、賢明なる読者諸兄ならすでにお気づきかもしれません。この記事に漂うアンニュイな空気に。

えっとですね、この CTP 版:

Microsoft HDInsight Server is a preview release targeting developer scenarios and as such only supports single-node deployments.

という形になっております。一匹狼。
