Customization Comparison and Configuration Data Tools

Good news for ISVs, partners and anyone building applications on top of the CRM platform. I’m really happy to let you know that we just released the source code of 2 very useful tools. You can find all the details and download the tools in this MSDN article:

I won’t get into the details of each tool in this post since the article has them but, in a nutshell, one of the tools lets you compare two customization files (very useful when assessing changes) and the other lets you easily transport configuration records across systems. Here is how the customization comparison tool (my favorite one btw) looks like:

Originally these tools were developed to help partners with their deployments and we quickly realized that the broader community could certainly learn and benefit from the tools so there you go :)
