You may not ever have thought to yourself: “I need more UC”, but the words may have been uttered within your business of “we need to improve our customer service” or “we need to reduce costs”. UC happens to be an effective answer, with collaboration as an integral goal.
I read recently that Gartner has predicted that 40% of businesses will adopt “a blend of Cloud and on-premise based approaches to meet their Unified Communications (UC) needs” by 2012. That compares to an estimate of between 3% and 5% in 2009.
