Announcing Ingenuity Point’s Platinum Prize Winner

Today, Microsoft announced its first platinum prize winner in the Ingenuity Point contest – TR Control Solutions. Based in the UK, their winning solution, ecoDriver Schools, helps schools measure their energy usage and environmental impact. Inspiration for creating the solution came from TR ControlSolutions’ desire to develop an application that could serve as a foundation for sustainable development, while also providing an educational tool to channel the enthusiasm of students who want to make a difference.

TR Control Solutions’ ecoDriver Schools software was selected from amongst 6 winning solutions since the introduction of the contest in July 2007. The Ingenuity Point contest is just one way that Microsoft recognizes the innovative development of our partners in creating solutions to that improve people’s lives and the planet in the areas of Environmental Sustainability, Education and Healthcare. Simply put - celebrating the magic of software.
