Introducing Windows Vista RC1 and .NET 3.0 RC1

Just in time for father's day the first release candidate for Windows Vista is available to beta participants.

In Jim Allchin's words… "Soon it will be made available to those of you outside those programs who want to test it. I'll have word on that next week, so watch this space."

Accompanying it is the RC1 of the .NET Framework 3.0 Runtime Components, Cider (this link is broken at the time of writing but check here for an update) and the Windows SDK… The compatible September CTP of EID is due next week.

I might try and use the RC bits for my student day demo on Friday in Wellington… what do they say about living on the edge?

Enjoy!
