La compétition des robots Sumo est lancée ici au MEDC 2007 Las Vegas. Les concurents peuvent déjà en cette journée de pré-conférence, affronter leurs adversaires sur les simulateurs mis à disposition dans le hall d'accueil. En effet, Robotics Studio dispose d'un environnement de simulation 3D permettant de faire tourner les softs dans un environnement très proche de la réalité. Ainsi les compétiteurs ont pu commencer à paufiner leur code chez eux avant de venir et pourront (pour les meilleurs) le faire tourner sur les robots Windows CE 6.0. Le début des hostilité sera lancé à 19h.
The Sumo Robot competition has started here in Las Vegas MEDC 2007. Attendees can start fighting using the simulators available in the main lobby. Actually, Robotics Studio provides a 3D virtual environment simulation allowing to test robotics software in an environment really close to the real world. So competitors could start developping their fighting algorithms at home and they will be able (for the best of them) to port their code to Windows CE 6.0 for the real robots. Fights start at 7:00 PM.
