TechED – It’s keeping me busy...

It’s my first TechEd since I came back to NZ – I’ve been to US and Europe events but not an NZ one. So I’ve been given the sink or swim treatment and my team is responsible for the entire event – it’s a huge undertaking!

Some quick stats:

  • 2700+ attendees (incl. 700 for Student day)
  • 400+ organisations
  • 128+ Sessions
  • 75+ Presenters
  • 8 Tracks
  • 6 Supporting functions
  • 100 Hands-on-lab machines
  • 30 Exhibitors
  • 3 x Microsoft stand
  • 1 hell of a TechFest Party

In the last few days I’ve been working with the team to finalise a few of the elements surrounding the event including:

  • Keynote sequences and content
  • Video’s for plasmas and keynote walk-ins
  • Content for press (releases and articles)
  • Collateral approval (feedback forms, evaluations, …)
  • Touch pool survey questions
  • Meetings with internal teams and sponsors
  • Last minute ticket requests (sorry we really are sold out)

It’s been fund but it’s been exceptionally busy – Nigel and Nathan have been a great deal of help along with Chuck and Jeff from Australia so Kudos to them!
