More Control for App Developers

You may have missed some of the subtle changes we have made to the certification requirements in v5.0 (scroll to the bottom to see a revision history). We have listened to your challenges and simplified some of the requirements as well as removing duplicate/redundant entries.

We have also given you more control over the deployment of your app, the key things are:

  1. Simplified certification requirements (we previously discussed)
  2. Managing app availability
  3. Setting app release date/time (including ability to change it while in certification)
  4. Ability to remove your Windows 8 app list and show only your Windows 8.1 app listing
