Champagne, Raspberries and Bacon

That's what was on the appetizer menu Friday night after work. I had bought the champagne for my wife (the interior designer) to celebrate the completion of a massive design plan for one of her clients. The plan was for 7 rooms in their home and she had worked all week to get it ready for a Thursday morning presentation that lasted 3 1/2 hours. That afternoon she met with new clients about a six-figure kitchen remodel they want her to design. Definitely champagne-worthy! The bacon just happened to be in the oven when I arrived. We usually cook it a package at a time and store in the fridge for easy microwaving. But we got talking about the week and before we knew it we'd eaten the whole thing! The raspberries? Well, I bought those to drop a few in the champagne glasses but we couldn't resist eating the rest of the container. Mmmmmm...
