Contributing to TLGs Part 8: Creating a Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V test lab configuration article in the TechNet Wiki

Another way to contribute to Microsoft Test Lab Guides (TLGs) is to publish a Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V test lab configuration article in the TechNet Wiki. A Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V test lab configuration article provides general guidance for setting up a specific test lab configuration on a Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V server. Here are some examples:

For the complete list, see Hosting Test Lab Guide Environments in Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V.

The process for publishing your own Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V test lab configuration article is the following:

  1. Build out your test lab configuration on a Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V server.
  2. Create the Hyper-V test lab configuration article and publish. Use the Wiki: Hosting a Test Lab with Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V Template in the TechNet Wiki as a starting point. If you use this template, your Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V test lab configuration article will have the same structure and boilerplate text as other published articles. Your article should contain a test lab figure showing the physical layout and a figure showing the Hyper-V configuration. See the PowerPoint file attached to this blog post for examples of Hyper-V configuration diagrams to get you started. Publish your article as a single topic in the TechNet Wiki.
  3. Tell the world. To make sure that others in the community know about your new article, do the following:

Write on!
