Introducing the Visual Studio ALM Rangers – Edward Fry
I am an Application Development Manager in Premier. I am based on Oklahoma City and support customers throughout Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana. I grew up here and have been involved with professional software development for 20 years.
What makes you “tick”?
Professionally, I love to solve problems and to build things. I am a tool smith who loves to create tools through software. ALM is the ultimate ‘smithing’, in that it is itself a tool for other tool smiths to use in their work.
Where you live?
I live in Oklahoma City, OK.
Why are you active in the Rangers program?
I love how the Rangers are so close to the very latest in tooling and technology. I can think of no better way to stay ‘right on the edge’ and, in fact, to push the envelope even farther.
What is the best Rangers project you worked in and why?
Working on the VSO extension projects has been very rewarding. These are challenging projects right on the edge of new technology, and overcoming those challenges and knowing that the effort has moved the bar for the company and the industry is great!
This post is part of an ongoing series of Rangers introductions. Seeaka.ms/vsarindexfor more details.
