Business value

Since the launch of Common Data Service (CDS) for Apps in 2018, one of the recurring asks is to provide the ability to connect a portal to the CDS for Apps environment. This feature brings in the ability to connect a portal to a CDS for Apps environment that does not have any Dynamics 365 applications (Sales, Service, or Marketing) preinstalled.

This feature will allow customers to:

  • Use a new template, CDS Starter, which can be installed in CDS for Apps organizations.
  • Provision a portal for CDS for Apps organizations.
