Methods

Aliases() Aliases()

Returns an unmodifiable set of this charset's aliases.

AvailableCharsets() AvailableCharsets()

Returns an immutable case-insensitive map from canonical names to Charset instances.

CanEncode() CanEncode()

Returns true if this charset supports encoding, false otherwise.

Clone() Clone()

Creates and returns a copy of this Object.

(Inherited from Object)
CompareTo(Charset) CompareTo(Charset)

Compares this charset with the given charset.

Contains(Charset) Contains(Charset)

Determines whether this charset is a superset of the given charset.

Decode(ByteBuffer) Decode(ByteBuffer)

Returns a new CharBuffer containing the characters decoded from buffer.

DefaultCharset() DefaultCharset()

Returns the system's default charset.

DisplayName() DisplayName()

Returns the name of this charset for the default locale.

DisplayName(Locale) DisplayName(Locale)

Returns the name of this charset for the specified locale.

Dispose() Dispose() Inherited from Object
Dispose(Boolean) Dispose(Boolean) Inherited from Object
Encode(CharBuffer) Encode(CharBuffer)

Returns a new ByteBuffer containing the bytes encoding the characters from buffer.

Encode(String) Encode(String)

Returns a new ByteBuffer containing the bytes encoding the characters from s.

Equals(Object) Equals(Object)

Determines whether this charset equals to the given object.

ForName(String) ForName(String)

Returns a Charset instance for the named charset.

GetHashCode() GetHashCode()

Gets the hash code of this charset.

IsSupported(String) IsSupported(String)

Determines whether the specified charset is supported by this runtime.

JavaFinalize() JavaFinalize()

Invoked when the garbage collector has detected that this instance is no longer reachable.

(Inherited from Object)
Name() Name()

Returns the canonical name of this charset.

NewDecoder() NewDecoder()

Returns a new instance of a decoder for this charset.

NewEncoder() NewEncoder()

Returns a new instance of an encoder for this charset.

Notify() Notify()

Causes a thread which is waiting on this object's monitor (by means of calling one of the wait() methods) to be woken up.

(Inherited from Object)
NotifyAll() NotifyAll()

Causes all threads which are waiting on this object's monitor (by means of calling one of the wait() methods) to be woken up.

(Inherited from Object)
SetHandle(IntPtr, JniHandleOwnership) SetHandle(IntPtr, JniHandleOwnership)

Sets the Handle property.

(Inherited from Object)
ToArray<T>() ToArray<T>() Inherited from Object
ToString() ToString()

Gets a string representation of this charset.

UnregisterFromRuntime() UnregisterFromRuntime() Inherited from Object
Wait() Wait()

Causes the calling thread to wait until another thread calls the notify() or notifyAll() method of this object.

(Inherited from Object)
Wait(Int64) Wait(Int64)

Causes the calling thread to wait until another thread calls the notify() or notifyAll() method of this object or until the specified timeout expires.

(Inherited from Object)
Wait(Int64, Int32) Wait(Int64, Int32)

Causes the calling thread to wait until another thread calls the notify() or notifyAll() method of this object or until the specified timeout expires.
