AL reference guide

This section describes all methods, method attributes, data types, properties, diagnostics, and triggers in Dynamics 365 Business Central. They also provide general descriptions of some of the features and functionality that Dynamics 365 Business Central supports.

Tip

If you already know the name of, for example, a data type, method, property, or trigger, use the Filter by title field in the upper left corner, above the table of contents to find the topic faster. Otherwise, you can scan the table of contents to find it.

In the table of contents, all AL methods are listed under the AL data types that they support. Each data type topic contains a description of the data type. Under the Methods node, you will also find the Method attributes and the Option types, both lists are sorted alphabetically.

Properties are listed according to the object that they apply to and Triggers are listed alphabetically.
