Assortment (form)

Click Retail > Common > Assortments. On the Assortments list page, on the Action Pane, in the New group, click Assortment.
Use this form to set up assortments. Use assortments to group products and identify the stores that receive those products.

Retail channels |
View or select the retail channel or group of retail channels that the assortment applies to. Each retail channel must be assigned to an organization hierarchy that is assigned to the Retail assortment purpose. For more information about how to set up an organization hierarchy, see Create or modify an organization hierarchy. |
Products |
Add the products that are included in the assortment. You can add product categories, products, or product variants one at a time. Alternatively, you can use the Add products form to add multiple products at the same time. |

Run the process to generate and publish an assortment. This process runs a batch job that generates the preactions and actions that are required to make the products available in the store. |

View assortment products |
View the products that are included in an assortment. Because many assortments can be assigned to a single retail channel, you can use this button to view a list of all products that are assigned to a specific assortment, and the stores that those assortments are linked to. |
Add line |
Add a retail channel or a group of retail channels that the assortment applies to. On the Products FastTab, you can add a category of products, a single product, or a single product variant to the assortment. |
Add products |
Open the Add products form, where you can add multiple products at the same time. You can sort products by category, and then add all products in a category to the assortment. |

Description |

Assortment ID |
The unique identifier of the assortment. |
Effective date |
The date that the assortment becomes available. Assortments can be defined in advance and published to a store. However, the products that are included in the assortment cannot be sold before this date. Note The assortment becomes active at midnight Coordinated Universal Time on the date that you select. The local time zone for the store does not apply to the effective date. |
Status |
The publishing status for the assortment. The following statuses are used:

Assortment name |
A unique name that identifies the assortment. |
Expiration date |
The date that the assortment is no longer available. When an assortment expires, the products that are included in the assortment can no longer be sold in the store. Note The assortment expires at 11:59 P.M. Coordinated Universal Time on the date that you select. The local time zone for the store does not apply to the expiration date. |
Submitted date |
The date that the assortment was submitted to be published. |
Modified date and time |
The name or description of the item, variant, or group that you are adding. |
Name |
The name of the organization node or retail channel that the assortment is assigned to. |
Operating unit number |
The number of the operating unit that is assigned to the organization node or retail channel. This number is assigned when the organization hierarchy is created. |
Category |
The retail category that the product is assigned to. |
Product |
The unique identifier of the product. |
Product variant |
The variant that is assigned to the product, if the product has variants. Product variants include size, style, and color. |
Line type |
The type of line. The line type indicates whether the product or category of products on the line is included in the assortment. The following values are used:
For example, you can add all products from a category to an assortment, and then exclude specific products. Also, a product can be included in one assortment, but excluded from another assortment. |
