Employee fixed compensation (form)

Click Human resources > Common > Workers > Workers. On the Action Pane, click Compensation tab > Fixed plan.
Use this form to maintain the base pay of an employee.
Navigating the form
The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Select this check box to filter the grid by fixed compensation plans that are expired. |
Active |
Select this check box to filter the grid by fixed compensation plans that are active. |
Future |
Select this check box to filter the grid by fixed compensation plans that are to be activated in the future. |

Fields

Cumulative pay rate |
A total of all pay rates for all of the employee’s records as of the effective date. |
Action |
The fixed compensation action name. For more information, see Fixed compensation actions (form) |
Plan |
The fixed compensation plan name. |
Line number |
The line number that indicates the order that an action is listed in a compensation process event. This field is read-only. |
Position |
The position ID of the employee. |
Effective date and Expiration date |
When you hire a new employee or promote an employee, the Effective date and Expiration date fields use the effective and expiration dates from the employee’s primary position. However, to enter a merit increase, you must manually enter effective dates. |
Status |
The status of the selected fixed compensation action. |
Type |
Indicates if the fixed compensation plan that is associated with the fixed compensation action is of the type Band, Step, or Grade. |
Process type |
The process event type associated with the fixed compensation action. |
Pay rate |
The fixed pay amount that the employee receives for the specified pay frequency. |
Pay frequency |
The pay frequency for the compensation plan. |
Currency |
The currency in which the base pay or salary is paid. |
Pay group |
The pay group or pay company that pays the base pay or salary. |
Annual equivalent |
The pay rate expressed as an annual amount. |
Monthly equivalent |
The pay rate expressed as a monthly amount. |
Hourly equivalent |
The pay rate expressed as an hourly amount. |
Increase amount |
The amount of the fixed pay rate increase. |
Increase percent |
The percentage increase over the last fixed pay rate. For example, if the employee is currently earning $75,000 and receives a $2,000 increase, 2.67 is displayed. |
Adjusted pay rate |
The pay rate after it is adjusted according to the exchange rate at the time that the record was effective. |
Adjusted increase |
The increase amount after it is adjusted according to the exchange rate of the specified currency at the time that the record was effective. |
Currency adjusted increase percentage |
The percentage of the adjusted pay rate increase. |
Currency |
The currency used for the fixed compensation plan. |
Exchange rate |
The exchange rate at the time that the record was effective. |
Compa-ratio |
The fixed pay rate divided by the control point. This information is only used for graded compensation plans. |
Range utilization |
The percentage that compares the employee's current wage level to the levels set up in the compensation plan. This information is only used for graded compensation plans. The range utilization is calculated as follows: ((Current pay rate - minimum range in level for the plan) / (Maximum range in level for the plan - minimum range in level for the plan))*100 |
Minimum |
The minimum amount in the pay range. |
Control point |
The control point in the pay range. |
Maximum |
The maximum amount in the pay range. |
Default financial dimensions |
The default financial dimensions for the main account. When you select a financial dimension value, the Where the %1 dimension is used field group displays where the dimension is used in account structures and advanced rule structures. |
Where the %1 dimension is used |
The account structures and advanced rule structures that use the financial dimensions that you selected in the Financial dimensions or Default financial dimensions field group. Note The name of the field depends on the selection in the Financial dimensions or Default financial dimensions field group. |
