Compliance Solutions for Sales Navigator Overview

LinkedIn provides API solutions for monitoring, archiving, and management of communications from LinkedIn's Sales Navigator for enterprises. These APIs will help your communications via Sales Navigator remain effective while ensuring compliance with corporate governance policies and major regulations.

Usage

You must use an access token to make an authenticated call on behalf of a user. To utilize all the Compliance APIs, you will need the following member permission:

The use of these APIs is restricted to developers approved by LinkedIn. Reach out to your LinkedIn Relationship Manager or Business Development contact as you will need to meet certain criteria and sign an API agreement with data restrictions in order to use this integration.

Compliance Management API

Compliance APIs allow 3rd-party developer to archive communications sent and receive from a regulated member's Sales Navigator inbox with their consent. Compliance Management APIs allow developers to opt-in a member for compliance monitoring. Once the member has been opted in, all communications from Sales Navigator will be archived as compliance events and can be accessed by the Compliance Events API. The API will not contain any compliance events prior to opting in the member. To know more about the API, refer the Compliance Management API Documentation.

Compliance Events API

Once the member has been opted-in for compliance event archival using the Compliance Management API, LinkedIn will start archiving the communications from the regulated member's Sales Navigator as compliance events. Compliance Events API allows developers to query these compliance events for a regulated member. We currently store compliance events only up to 28 days.
