Manage users

This article describes how to invite and manage different types of users in Movere.

Before you start

Make sure your account has the right permissions to invite users. All tenants must have at least one active Administrator user. The first user to register to a customer tenant receives the Administrator role by default.

Invite and manage users

Invite users as follows:

  1. In the Movere portal, open the Users tab.
  2. In the dropdown menu, select the tenant to which you want to invite the user.
  3. In the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, click the plus (+) sign.
  4. In Invite, verify the tenant, and specify the user email and role.
  5. In Scopes, specify the user scope in the tenant. Learn more about user scopes.

After sending an invitation and assigning access permissions, you can do the following:

  • To edit permissions, on the Users tab, click the edit icon next to the user name.
  • To reinvite the user, or revoke the invitation after sending it, click the hourglass icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
  • To delete a user, on the Users tab, click the Remove icon next to the user name. Note that only Customer Tenant Administrators can delete users, and only from their tenant. Partner Tenants can't remove users, even if the Partner Tenant account has access to the customer tenant.

Fill out a user registration

Registration invitations are sent via email from support@movere.io, and contain a unique registration link. An email address can only belong to a single user account.

  1. To register using the link, click the link in the email. This redirects to a user registration form.

    • Check spam and junk folders if the registration email isn't in the inbox.
    • You might want to allow movere.io, sendgrid and .io to ensure you get the email.
  2. Fill in all fields in the registration form.

    • You can't change the email address in the form.
  3. Specify a password in line with the displayed requirements.

  4. In Notice and Acceptance, you can link to and review information for:

  5. After registration, a notification email is sent to the Movere user who sent the invitation.

Grant emulate access to Customer tenants

Customer Admins can grant and revoke emulate access for a Customer tenant for Partner Operators, Program Admins, Program Operators, and Movere users. Partner Admin users automatically have emulate access to Customer Tenants associated with their partner account

As a Customer Admin, grant emulate access as follows:

  1. On the Stats tab, select the grants icon.

  2. Select the relevant tenant.

  3. If the user doesn't have access, click the padlock icon to allow. You can click the padlock again to revoke the access.

    • Follow this process for each user for whom you want to grant access.
    • Each user must be granted access to each relevant Customer tenant separately.

Grant emulate access to Customer tenants for Partner Operator users

As an alternative to Customer Admins granting emulate access to Customer tenants for Partner Operator users, as described in the previous procedure, a Partner Admin can also grant Partner Operator access to a tenant. Grant access as follows:

  1. In the Movere portal, open the Tenants tab. This shows a list of the currently active Partner Operator users in the tenant.
  2. Click the padlock icon to grant the user access to the tenant. Movere prompts to confirm the action. You can click the padlock again to revoke the access.

Repeat for each Operator user. Users must be granted access permissions for each tenant separately.

Grant export access to Customer tenants

Customer Admins need to grant export access to users who aren't Customer users. Granting access allows users to export data from the Exports page in the portal, and from data views. Learn more.

Manage Customer Tenant permissions

Unlock a locked account

Movere locks a user account after three failed sign-in attempts.

  • The lockout period lasts 30 minutes and can't be bypassed. After 30 minutes you can try to sign in again.
  • The Forgot Password option works during the lockout period. If you reset the password during this period, use the new password when you next sign in.
  • If your email has multiple aliases, make sure you use the right one for sign-in.
