Open the ShapeSheet for a Shape, Page, or Document

The ShapeSheet window is hidden by default in Microsoft Visio. To access the ShapeSheet, you need to run Visio in developer mode (display the developer tab).

To run Visio in developer mode

  1. Click the File tab and then click Options.

  2. In the Visio Options dialog box, click Advanced, and then, under General, select Run in developer mode.

To view the ShapeSheet for a shape

  • Right-click the shape on the drawing canvas and click Show ShapeSheet.

  • Select the shape on the drawing canvas, and then on the Developer tab, in the Shape Design group, click Show ShapeSheet, and then click Shape.

To view the sheet for a page

  • On the Developer tab, in the Shape Design group, click Show ShapeSheet, and then click Page.

To view the sheet for a document

  • On the Developer tab, in the Shape Design group, click Show ShapeSheet, and then click Document.
