Reading and Interpreting a Message Object that Represents an Opaque-Signed or Encrypted S/MIME Message

For details about how to recognize a Message object that represents an opaque-signed message or an encrypted message, see section

To read and interpret an S/MIME message, the Internet e-mail message format SHOULD be reconstructed from a Message object, as specified in section The resulting S/MIME message in its Internet e-mail message format SHOULD be rendered or interpreted by following the guidelines specified in [RFC5751]. A client can use a different process as long as it leads to the same rendering or interpretation.
