3.17.4.1.52 Extension (Opnum 58)

The Extension method is received by the server in an RPC_REQUEST packet. In response, the server MUST set the application-specific Message.Extension.

   [in] VARIANT varExtension
 );

varExtension: A VARIANT that contains a byte array (VT_ARRAY | VT_UI1) that contains application-specific information.

Return Values: The method MUST return S_OK (0x00000000) on success or an implementation-specific error HRESULT on failure.

When processing this call, the server MUST follow these guidelines:

  • Set the represented Message.Extension to the value contained in the varExtension input parameter.
