This specification covers versioning issues in the following areas:

  • Supported Transports: The qWave-WD protocol is implemented on top of TCP (2.1).

  • Protocol Versions: Messages specified by this protocol include a version number for extensibility. The current version is 3.

  • Security and Authentication Methods: This protocol requires no authentication.

  • Localization: This protocol has no locale-specific definitions or dependencies.

  • Capability Negotiation: This protocol does not support capability negotiation.
