This protocol sequence specifies RPC directly over UDP. There are no intermediate protocols between RPC and UDP.<17>

When these extensions are enabled over the UDP transport protocol, the network address MUST be an IP address. The endpoint MUST be a UDP port number. The network address and endpoint are not transmitted on the network by these extensions but are used by UDP or any lower-layer protocols to communicate with the server.

RPC over UDP MUST use endpoint mapper well-known endpoint 135, as specified in [C706] Appendix H. It MUST use protocol identifier 0x08, as specified in [C706] Appendix I.
