3.2.5.1 Sent Initial TLS Negotiation Packet State

Applies to only TDS 8.0

If the response received from the server contains a structurally valid TLS response that indicates a success, the TDS client MUST send a PRELOGIN message to the server and enter the "Sent Initial PRELOGIN Packet State" state.

If the response received from the server does not contain a structurally valid TLS response, or if it contains a structurally valid response that indicates an error, the TDS client MUST close the underlying transport connection, indicate an error to the upper layer, and enter the "Final State" state.
