SQL Server 2005 Developer Documentation
Microsoft has a large resource of Microsoft SQL Server documentation for developers. Microsoft SQL Server Books Online is the documentation set for Microsoft SQL Server 2005. This SQL Server documentation covers the concepts and procedures required to use SQL Server effectively. SQL Server Books Online also includes other SQL Server documentation, such as reference material covering the languages and programming interfaces for storing, retrieving, reporting, and modifying data using SQL Server.
The SQL Server documentation is published three ways:
- A copy of the SQL Server documentation is included on the SQL Server 2005 installation discs.
- A copy of the SQL Server documentation is published on the Web in the MSDN Library, where it is periodically updated with new information.
- You can download periodic updates to the SQL Server documentation from this Web page.

SQL Server 2005 Developer InfoCenters
The SQL Server 2005 Books Online includes InfoCenters, which are topics containing links to the key information a person in a given job role (such as a developer or administrator) must understand in order to successfully use SQL Server. The Developer InfoCenters can help developers find concepts and reference information for accessing SQL Server functionality in their applications.
