Today Screen
The Today screen provides a central place for users to easily view summary and high-priority information on Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs. Users can alter the appearance of the Today screen from the Settings Control panel, changing the background pattern or selecting from a list of Today screen items to include.
Developers can create custom items for inclusion in the Today screen, either as stand-alone applications or as a way for other applications to bring information to the user's attention.
The device also automatically times out and returns to the Today screen after a user-configurable period of disuse; the default is four hours.
