Reporting – Remaining Work

It is always tempting to add more features, fix more bugs, and tweak more code during the software development lifecycle. The Remaining Work Report helps keep a constant focus on the work that was originally planned for the project – this can help both managers and individuals to determine whether it is an appropriate time to add more work and estimate when that work will be completed. The Remaining Work Report can also point out bottlenecks in bug testing and fixing, if more bugs are being activated or reactivated than are being resolved and closed.
