Team Foundation Build Content Snapshots

Building and compiling even the smallest software project means bringing together dozens of individual files; when version control is involved, particular versions of those individual files have to be considered. Besides coordinating the different versions of files used to produce a given build, Team Foundation Server keeps a snapshot of the contents used to produce each build. With this snapshot, you can go back and reproduce any build your team has produced at any time.

Team Foundation Server uses a label to organize each snapshot it takes when producing a build. Figure 1 illustrates a list of all such snapshots. Figure 2 illustrates the details for a given snapshot.
