How to Configure an Operations Manager 2007 Agent-Managed Computer as a Proxy for Agentless Managed Computers

Use the following procedure to configure an Operations Manager 2007 agent-managed computer as a proxy for agentless managed computers. For more information about the Device Management node of the Operations Console, see Device Management Node of the Operations Manager 2007 Operations Console. For information about agentless managed computers, see Configuring Objects to Be Managed by Operations Manager 2007.

To configure an agent-managed computer as a proxy for agentless managed computers

  1. In the Agent Properties dialog box, click the Security tab.

    Note

    For information about how to get to the Agent Properties dialog box, see How to View the Properties of a Managed Object in Operations Manager 2007.

  2. On the Security tab, select Allow this agent to act as a proxy and discover managed objects on other computers, and then click OK.
