How to Specify the Location of a Log File to the Data Warehouse

This topic provides steps for specifying the location of a log file to the Data Warehouse. You specify a location so that the Data Warehouse can find the log file for the Web site.

To specify the location of a log file to the Data Warehouse

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

  2. In the IIS Manager console, in the left pane, expand Internet Information Services, expand the server name, right-click Default Web Site, and then click Properties.

  3. In the Default Web Site Properties dialog box, on the Web Site tab, in the Enable logging section, click Properties.

  4. In the Logging Properties dialog box, on the General tab, in the Log file directory box, type the path of the log file directory, and then click OK.

  5. In the Default Web Site Properties dialog box, click OK.
