How to View the Catalog Import Status

This topic describes how to view the status of the catalog import.

To check the status of the catalog import

  1. Click Start, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and then click Catalog Manager.

  2. In the Catalog Manager, in the Views pane, click Status.

    In the Progress Status pane, a catalog progress Status indicator appears that updates the catalog import status during the import process. The progress indicator displays each import operation, and, if an import is in process, it shows the status of the import operation.

    During the import process, Catalog Manager performs an asynchronous import of the catalog, validates the XML file, and creates the catalog, or updates the existing data if the catalog is currently in the system.

    You can review the Event Viewer on the Catalog Web service computer to confirm that the catalog import is finished.
