Item-level Discount Examples
Item-level discounts apply to specific products in the basket. You can apply multiple discounts to a single line item or to a single order. You can create item-level discounts that reduce the price of your products by a percentage or dollar amount.
Item-level: Buy A, get B at 10 percent off
Item-level: Buy A, get $20.00 off B
Item-level: Buy A, get B at 10 percent off
The following Discount Definition screen shows how to create an item-level discount that offers a 10 percent discount off a catalog item if the user buys an item in the Backpack category.
Condition: Buy one catalog item in the Backpack category
Award: Get 10 percent off a University backpack (AW140-13)
Discount interaction policy: None
Priority: 10
The following basket shows a 10 percent discount off the University backpack. The discount condition is met because the user put the Aces backpack (AW325-13) from the Backpack category in the basket. Therefore, the 10 percent award on the University backpack (AW140-13) is applied.
Item-level: Buy A, get $20.00 off B
The following Discount Definition screen shows how to create an item-level discount that offers a $20.00 discount off a catalog item.
Condition: Buy one Big Sur sleeping bag (AW200-12)
Award: Get $20.00 off a Pacific backpack (AW151-13)
Discount interaction policy: None
Priority: 10
The following basket shows a $20.00 discount off the Pacific backpack. The discount condition is met because the user put the Big Sur sleeping bag in the basket. Therefore, the $20.00 award on the Pacific backpack is applied.
