Profiles

Profile Object Name and Size Restriction
Name
  • Can be up to 127 characters long. Names that are longer than 57 characters long will not be exported to the Data Warehouse.
  • Characters must be alphanumeric.
  • Can include the underscore (_).
  • Cannot contain spaces.
  • Cannot use "User" as an object name; it is a reserved word in SQL.
Display Name
  • Can be up to 127 characters long.
  • Characters must be Unicode.
Description
  • Can be up to 127 characters long.
  • Characters must be Unicode.

  • The sum of the character lengths of the data source name, data object name, and the profile name must be less than 110 characters.
  • You can change the display name of a data source, a data object, a data member, or a profile definition.

You cannot change the programmatic name of a data source, a data object, a data member, or a profile definition.

Term Name
  • Can be up to 127 characters long.
  • Must be alphanumeric.
  • Can contain the underscore (_) symbol.
  • Cannot contain spaces, punctuation, and the use of the double-byte character set format.
Display Name
  • Can be up to 127 characters long.
  • Characters must be Unicode.
