[This documentation is for preview only, and is subject to change in later releases. Blank topics are included as placeholders.]
Asynchronously executes persistence commands such as LoadWorkflowCommand and SaveWorkflowCommand.
Namespace: System.Runtime.Persistence
Assembly: System.Runtime (in System.Runtime.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Public Function BeginExecute ( _
handle As InstanceHandle, _
command As InstancePersistenceCommand, _
timeout As TimeSpan, _
callback As AsyncCallback, _
state As Object _
) As IAsyncResult
'Usage
Dim instance As InstanceStore
Dim handle As InstanceHandle
Dim command As InstancePersistenceCommand
Dim timeout As TimeSpan
Dim callback As AsyncCallback
Dim state As Object
Dim returnValue As IAsyncResult
returnValue = instance.BeginExecute(handle, _
command, timeout, callback, state)
public IAsyncResult BeginExecute(

InstancePersistenceCommand command,
TimeSpan timeout,
AsyncCallback callback,
Object state
)
public:
IAsyncResult^ BeginExecute(
InstanceHandle^ handle,
InstancePersistenceCommand^ command,
TimeSpan timeout,
AsyncCallback^ callback,
Object^ state
)
member BeginExecute :
handle:InstanceHandle *
command:InstancePersistenceCommand *
timeout:TimeSpan *
callback:AsyncCallback *
state:Object -> IAsyncResult
Parameters
- handle
Type: System.Runtime.Persistence.InstanceHandle
An instance handle.
- command
Type: System.Runtime.Persistence.InstancePersistenceCommand
The command to be executed.
- timeout
Type: System.TimeSpan
The timeout value for the command execution.
- callback
Type: System.AsyncCallback
The asynchronous callback delegate that receives notification of the completion of the asynchronous operation.
- state
Type: System.Object
The state information.
Return Value
Type: System.IAsyncResult
The state of the asynchronous operation.
Remarks
A host calls the BeginExecute(InstanceHandle, InstancePersistenceCommand, TimeSpan, AsyncCallback, Object) method to execute a persistence command against an instance handle asynchronously. The host obtains the instance handle by invoking the CreateInstanceHandle() method.
