Troubleshooting: Storing User Choices

The personalizationstore.xml file stores some personal settings for the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Windows client, such as a user-personalized sizing of column width. Other settings that are stored are; which record was the current on a given page and any filter control values that were entered. The data in the personalizationstore.xml is primarily binary and we do not recommend that you try to modify the file. Once these settings are stored in the file, these are used when the same user logs into Microsoft Dynamics NAV as a way to provide better productivity.

If these settings are no longer wanted, the personalizationstore.xml file can be renamed to, for example, old_personalizationstore.xml and Microsoft Dynamics NAV will now create a new personalizationstore.xml file the next time that the user logs in and all previous personalization settings are gone.
