Stores and provides information for order promising calculations. With the order promising feature, you can promise the best possible shipping and/or delivery date for an order.
You can use the order promising feature on existing sales orders or on new orders as you create them. The program calculates the earliest possible delivery date and/or shipping date for the items on the order. You specify which type of availability you want the program to calculate. It calculates one of two types of availability, available-to-promise or capable-to-promise.
Once you accept the calculated date, the program creates planning worksheet lines for those items that have been identified as critical.
