Warranty Starting Date (Parts) Field, Service Item Table

Contains the starting date of the spare parts warranty for this service item.

If you enter a date in this field, the program automatically fills in the warranty-related fields with the default warranty information specified in the Service Mgt. Setup table.

If the program creates a service item automatically when you post a sales order, the program inserts the default warranty for the service item, starting from the posting date of the sales order. If the program creates a service item automatically when you replace a service item on a service line, the program inserts the default warranty for the service item, starting from the posting date of the corresponding service order.
