Element | Description |
---|---|
Contains descriptive information that is static on the printer model, or administratively set by a client. |
Remarks
The WSD Print Service should set ColorSupported to 1 (true) if the printer is capable of full color output. If the printer is capable of grayscale or business graphics output, or if it is a highlight printer, the WSD Print Service should set this to 0 (false).
Although this element is named the same as the corresponding IPP ColorSupported printer element, the semantics differ. A WSD-compliant printer must be capable of full color output in order to have a 1 (true) value; whereas the IPP ColorSupported element can be 1 (true) when a printer is capable of any type of color printing (including highlight color). See Section 7.4 of the for details.
IHVs cannot extend the allowed values for this element.
