ConnectionStringSettings Class [IIS 7 and higher]

Represents a named database connection string.

Syntax

class ConnectionStringSettings : CollectionElement

This class contains no methods.

The following table lists the properties exposed by the ConnectionStringSettings class.

Name	Description
ConnectionString	A required read/write string value that specifies a database connection string. Note: The value can be an empty string (""). IIS does not verify the validity of the connection string.
Name	A required unique read/write string value that specifies the name of the database connection string. This key attribute overrides any inherited value with the same name. The key property.
ProviderName	An optional read/write string value that specifies the name of the ADO.NET provider to use to access a data store. The default is "System.Data.SqlClient".

This class contains no subclasses.

Instances of this class are contained in the ConnectionStrings property of the ConnectionStringsSection class.
