Add a freeform shape

  1. On the Drawing toolbar, click Freeform Freeform button.

  2. Do one or both of the following:

    To draw freehand shape segments, drag the mouse on the map.

    To draw a straight segment, click point to point.

  3. Do one of the following:

    To end a shape and leave it open, double-click where you want it to end, or press ESC.

    To close a shape, right-click it at any point, and then click Close Curve.

Add a scribble

  1. On the Drawing toolbar, click Scribble Scribble button.

  2. On the map, drag the mouse to draw your freeform scribble.

  3. Do one of the following:

    To end a scribble and leave it open, release the mouse button.

    To close a scribble, right-click at any point, and then click Close Curve.
