Include refuel warnings in driving directions
On the Route menu, click Route options, and then click the Fuel tab.
From the drop-down list to the right of City, select the unit of fuel consumption (liters per 100 kilometers, liters per 10 kilometers, miles per U.S. gallon, or miles per U.K. gallon), and then in the text box, type the number of liters or miles your vehicle gets per unit.
In the text box beside Highway, type the number of miles per U.S. gallon (or liters per 100 kilometers, liters per 10 kilometers, or miles per U.K. gallon) your vehicle gets.
Select the Include refuel warnings in driving directions check box.
In the drop-down list to the right of Tank capacity, select a unit of measurement (liters, U.S. gallons, or U.K. gallons), and then in the text box, type the number of liters or gallons your vehicle's tank holds.
Adjust the Route starts with tank at slider to show the amount of fuel your vehicle's tank will contain when you begin your trip.
Adjust the Warn when tank reaches slider to indicate when you want a refuel warning.
Click OK.
If you already have created a route, MapPoint automatically adds refuel warnings to your driving directions. If you have not created a route, MapPoint uses these settings the next time you create a route.
