How to: View the Microsoft Project Column Mappings
To understand which fields in Team Foundation the fields in Microsoft Project map to, you can view the Microsoft Project column mappings. This information is useful if you work with both Microsoft Project and Team Explorer and must understand where published field data appears in Team Explorer. This information is also useful if you plan to modify the field mappings and must see the current mappings.
Required Permissions
To perform these procedures, you must be a member of the Readers group or have the View Project-level information permissions set to Allow. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.
To view how work item fields are mapped to Microsoft Project
On the Team menu, click View Column Mappings.
Note
The mapping between work item fields and Microsoft Project is specific to a team project. You can change the field mapping in the team project at any time.
Review how work item fields are mapped to Microsoft Project and determine whether you must make changes. If you decide to make changes, see Field Mappings in Microsoft Project.
